Prima Kottumee is a brand that represents the vibrancy and the energy of youth. For the third consecutive year, Prima Kottumee took another step towards highlighting their efforts that focus on the youth of the nation by producing a unique calendar for the coming year 2012. The Prima Kottumee Calendar was launched on 14 December 2011 with a stunning fashion show at the Stable, Park Street Mews in a blitz of fanfare. Youth have innate dreams and desires to walk the ramps of fashion shows and showcase their talents and Prima Kottumee provides them with such a platform to follow their dreams of delving into show business and modelling. More importantly, the 2012 calendar has become the appropriate canvas to showcase our beautiful country and its beautiful people.

Renowned photographer Lakshmanan Nadaraja photographed the models using Bentota beach, Bandaragama Uyanwatte Lake and Beira Lake as the scenic backdrop for the calendar. This year, an extensive ‘Model Hunt’ was conducted through television, radio, newspapers, and web via e-mail and Facebook, to choose 24 stunning female and male models. This search resulted in receiving a huge response from the youth and it is imperative to mention that a majority of these applications were received via digital mediums.
