How Casino money helped to attack Sri Kotha exposed : Karu –Sajith sanctimoniousness unmasked

Vanquished Karu Jayasooriya and victorious Sajith Peremadasa went to meet Kandy Mahanayakes again yesterday (25). When giving a ‘voice cut’ after the meeting to the media , Karu said , an impartial inquiry into the attack on the party headquarters is anticipated ,and groups from outside had gained entry into the headquarters on that day.

On the day of the incident , following the attack ,both Karu and Sajith , addressing the crowds stated openly that the marauding groups who intruded are those who came to support them .They also did not forget to thank them. All this reprehensible conduct of the duo was reported by the local media world wide. Now , Karu and Sajith after meeting the Mahanayake are trying to indulge in play acting and give the impression to the public that they are paragons of virtue who are incapable of committing any wrong.

It is an indisputable fact that on the day the attack was launched , it was Hema Premadasa and Jalani Premadasa who distributed meals and water during noon to the marauding groups of Karu and Sajith. Based on reports with evidence reaching Lanka e news , the disbursements towards the distribution of meals and water had been made by a Casino magnate Ravi Wijeratne. It is evident from this , how ‘sincerely’ Karu and Sajith adhere to the Buddhist faith and precepts , and how well they are engaging in sanctimonious parades and piety charades.

Meanwhile , Karu –Sajith duo had given a name list to the police of those who allegedly caused the attack from within the Sri Kotha , reports say.
After Sajith Premadasa pleaded with the regime chief to arrange for the release of those who were arrested and remanded earlier, the suspects in the attack were released on a motion filed despite the court holidays.

One Rupavahini channel media personnel reported that the police on the day of the incident behaved before the group which attacked with stones with much more decency than even the British police would have ,. But in this case , their ‘decency’ was aimed at paying undue respect to the criminals .One police officer had told the attackers ‘ enough child, you have attacked sufficiently , now go’. Another police officer had said, ‘malli (brother) , now how many stones have you hurled. Now hurl the stone that is in your hand also and leave’, the Rupavahini channel reported.
